And so it begins.............

Last night was our opening night for 2007 season. Here are (l-r) Sabina, Dominique, Val & Margit who all helped to make the evening a success.



This table just kept expanding - just like the universe. A lot of you will recognise most of these ne'r-do-wells but for thos who don't we have (clockwise) Mick, Jenny (his, not mine), David, Suzanna, Phil, Herve, Olga (look at the camera when its pointing at you!) and Stephen (who set out to try and confuse the kitchen by not ordering either Chicken Schnitzel or a Calypso Burger

Opening for 2007 Season

Calypso will open properly for the 2007 season on Wednesday 25th. April.

All wine & beer will be half menu price for diners on the evening.

Stones Make an Impromptu Appearance At Calypso!!

We had a fantastic Easter Sunday with a new table arriving on average every 12 minutes for 8 and a half hours! We were knackered by the end of the day. Thanks must go to Anja (from the Spanish Restaurant) and Margit who worked so hard with us to make the day a success!

Here are some hand-painted stones (a la Norma) which we will be selling in the summer.

Calypso goes Wifi

We are leading up to Easter here and hopefully we will have a busy couple of days serving the visitors who are already here.

One great bit of news is that by the end of next week (hopefully) we will have an internet wireless hotspot at the restaurant. This means that if you are here with your own laptop or PDA you will be able to take advantage of a fast Adsl connection sat outside on the terrace. Make all your skype calls, e-mail the photos you took that day or - God forbid - do some work?!!
