Late Night Drinking On a Stormy Evening

This extended family have been coming to Paleochora since Minoan times! Always a joy to see them back. We have (clockwise) Dani & Dave, Barrie & Marjorie and Jenny & Robert.

Nick and Kate, together with sons Tom (left) and Jack were frequent visitors to Calypso over the last couple of weeks. They have returned now to Prague in The Czech Republic where they live and work.

Curry fever

Prodosh & Claudia, from Switzerland, loved Jenny's Indian dishes. "Just like Indian home cooking" said Prodosh, who should know as he is half Indian!

Chop, chop!

Pork chop lovers Terry & Lucy toured round Western Crete, basing themselves in Paleochora.

Calypso was closed on Wednesday for my birthday. We had a lovely day out and went to Lissos. Here are some photos of the day.

The Arthurs

The Arthurs were in town again recently.......with a whole load of friends (yes, that came as a surprise to us as well!)
At the top we have Carolyn and Thea. In the middle loads of people including but not limited to Carolyn, Thea, Simon, Andy, Matt & Fiona. Sorry kids....apart from Tom & Rosie who I have known almost since feotushood, names are a bit of a blur .

Happy Birthday, Duke!

Duke celebrated his 65th. birthday at Calypso last night. Much wine and raki were consumed by revellers Jeff, Bob, Ruth, Val, Pete, Annette, Stephen, Olga and Phil.

Busy steak night

Ian, Bob & Ruth were amongst the familiar faces here last night. Here they are enjoying a drop of nice Bordeaux after their steaks.

Abbie arrived this week from England to stay with us until November. Brave girl - 3 months of helping looking after our two monsters!!!

Linda Made It!

Linda, who has been in town for well over a year, finally made it to the Calypso blog!

So Long, Sarah!

Sarah, who has been living with us as our Au Pair for almost 2 months, returned to Holland this week. She promised to return to visit us all soon, though. We certainly hope so - it was really great having you around, Sarah, and we will all miss you!

Calypso Cupid?

5 years ago, Martin and Heike didn't know each other. They lived at opposite ends of Germany. They met whilst visiting a mutual friend, Tim, who that year worked at Calypso. They fell in luuuurve and, to cut a 5 year story short, they now live in the same town which is handy because they get married next month! Congratulations, dears!
