Rob & Gaz were down from the north coast of Crete for a F.E.B. - Full English breakfast on Sunday.
Duke & Jeff's (right, top & bottom) summer comes to an abrupt end today as they fly back to autumnal England. They have been 'in residence' since April. They are joined here by Canadian Pete, Olga, Stephen and Sam. Terry (at the head of the table) was given the task by the people of Gravesend akin to that of Stanley - "Go out into the wilderness, find 'em and bring 'em back!"
A welcome back to Mike & Karen who holiday in Paleochora every year (and sometimes twice a year) They have just started their 3 week stay and look like they have relaxed right into it straightaway.
And then, he was off to Anidri beach. Er, Bob, you're going backwards, mate.
Something wonderful happened near our house the other night. We heard and then saw several bee-eaters flying around the garden and neighbouring fields. Bee-eaters are (along with maybe kingfishers) the most beautiful and colourful European bird. There were tens of them flying around, hunting and sitting on telegraph wires. Truly magical.
Thre was a general sense of unease in the town the other day when a Turkish frigate and a Turkish minesweeper (pictured) anchored a couple of hundred metres offshore! They were accompanied by a Greek minesweeper and a German navy vessel and it turns out was part of a NATO exercise
Mark & Viv, last seen in May suffering from an over-enthusiastic cocktail tasting afternoon, are here on holiday for another week. Mark is "all girled out" this time with (clockwise from front) Jordan, Hannah, Abi and Nila. Friend, Abi is making her first visit to "Chillout Central" Paleochora. We hope she will become a regular too.
Well, she can walk past the restaurant just as many times as she likes #2. See June 29th!
