We are off to England for a week to celebrate Christmas in the damp, cold, featureless wasteland of South Lincolnshire. We are still in t-shirts here. We must be crazy. But, as you can see by the picture of Anthony at last nights quiz, there are a lot of mental issues to be addressed.
See you in the New Year!
Well, we have had a bit of a rest (including a great few days camping at Falassana - pics to be posted) and we are almost ready to start our winter programme even though we were on the beach yesterday and even swimming so it doesn't fell too wintery yet!
Hopefully the first quiz night will be on Monday 20th November and we will start to open in the days on the following Friday.
That wraps up the season! Tomorrow, Jenny, the Boys & I go for our camping beach holiday for a week or so.
Please log on in the coming weeks as when I return I will be posting the end of season report in which I will look back at some of the highlights of the year and I will continue to blog as much as possible in the coming months. This is going to be a very interesting winter for a lot of reasons, not least of which is that we can share it with you all through this blog.
See you in a week or 10 days and keep clicking the ads!
Vic is here again & he's brought most of his family with him! Here he is enjoying a meal with his sister, Carmel, her husband, Paudie and Michael, his nephew.
Local poet and artist Sam Reed is up for a writers award for his book. We are encouraging everyone to votefor him which you can do online at www.cybermoor.org
Go to the AMMY's awards and click on Sam Reed in the best spoken word category.
Brian & Frances are joined in their second week by daughter Charlie & husband Ryan along with toddler Luke who, by the time this photo was taken, had log since retired for the evening in his buggy. Sensible lad. I would do this often too if I had a buggy
We had a visit from a group of agents today. They are not the secret kind, they are all travel agents on a fact -finding whistle-stop tour of Sunvil Holidays resorts here in Crete. It's a hard job but.........etc etc. Instead of saying they are 'licenced to kill', you could say they are 'licenced to dispatch' - you on your hols!
Gudren is still smiling after babysitting Jojo & Freddie along with her little girl, Vinita!
Two weeks after returning to the Uk with Ruth, Bob came back for another two weeks of fun & sun! Here he is on his last night surrounded by a veritable Calypso harem - (l-r) Charlotte, Sabina & Jenny.
I caught up with Ed & Rose last night. They last had a holiday here 2 years ago ( It doesn't seem that long!) and last year thay went to somewhere I will not mention (not a million miles away with a red flag). They have visited Calypso 4 or 5 times on this holiday but each time I have been looking after my boys.
Good to finally see you and have a chat.
